Beginners’ Guide to Online Sports Betting
Welcome to our starter guide to online sports betting. Like countless other sports betting enthusiasts, you are ready to experience your favourite sport in an even more exciting way. But how does sports betting actually work? In this guide we explain how this works. Once you have created an account and made your first deposit, you are all set to start placing sports bets. And quite honestly, it won't get much easier!
Sports Betting: easier than you think
On an average day, thousands of bets are placed on our platform. From this you can conclude that it is ultimately easier than you think in advance. In this Beginner’s Guide to Online Sports Betting we explain in detail how easy it is to place sports bets. We take you through the entire journey from selecting a sporting event to the moment you actually place your bet. We bet that you will have mastered placing sports bets in no time!
Your first Sports Bet
You are ready to place your first bet. You have entered all your personal details when creating your account, after which it has been verified by the bookmaker. However, it can seem overwhelming as soon as you see all kinds of names and numbers mixed up. You see menus and links everywhere, so you probably can't see the trees in the forest for a while. Fortunately, Holland Casino Online makes sports betting easy. We especially want you to experience placing sports bets as fun.
Decimal Odds
The many numbers you will see in the Holland Casino Online Sportsbook represent the odds you will receive for certain bets. These odds are displayed in decimals to make it a lot easier for you. This first happened 20 years ago. The average placer of sports betting can no longer do without it. Using an example, we explain exactly how these odds work in decimals. We take a match from the last World Cup in Qatar as an example.
| Brazil 1.25 | Draw 6.00 | South Korea 13.00 |
|---|
Here we see the odds in decimals of the match between Brazil and South Korea during the 2022 World Cup. The following odds appear here:
- Brazil Wins: 1.25
- Draw: 6.00
- South-Korea Wins: 13.00
While looking at the odds you can easily see how likely it is that a certain event will occur. The lower the odds, the more likely it is that this will actually happen. In this case, very low odds apply for a win by Brazil. This makes sense since Brazil is the favourite to win the game against South Korea. The odds also show what your potential profit will be.
How do you calculate the potential profit of your sports bet?
If you want to know what your potential profit is based on the odds, you need to multiply your bet by the odds. If you bet €10 on a win for Brazil, you will receive €12.50 (10 (stake) x 1.25 (odds) in your account. Subtract your bet with €10 and you will see that your profit is €2.50. You can also use this calculation for a possible victory for South Korea. In the case of a €10 bet on South Korea, where the South Koreans actually win, you will have €130 in your account. Subtract the €10 bet from this and it is clear that you have won €120.
The most important advantage of decimal odds is that they are easy to recognize. In addition, you can quickly calculate what your potential profits are. After all, it is a lot more difficult to recognize if the odds are displayed in fractions/fractions. This is why the decimals in odds are by far the most popular among sports betting enthusiasts. This is also the reason why we have chosen this at Holland Casino Online.
Single Betting
Placing Single Bets is by far the most popular among sports betting enthusiasts. Apart from the popularity of this type of bet, it is also the easiest bet to understand. You simply decide who wins a certain event. It concerns matches in football, basketball or tennis, for example, where you decide who wins the match. In the case of football or basketball, you can of course also bet on a draw.
Let's take a match between Ajax and Feyenoord as an example. It is up to you to determine whether Ajax wins, Feyenoord wins or whether the match ends in a draw. If you bet €10 on a win by Ajax against odds of 2.00, then you will have €20 in your account if the team from Amsterdam wins. Of this, €10 is a profit, since the €10 wagered obviously does not count as a profit.
The best Sports Bet to start with
If you are just starting out with sports betting, then placing a Single bet is probably the best option. It is the easiest way to bet on a sporting event. Most bookmakers offer numerous different bets, some of which are very complicated. With a Single bet you immediately know where you stand. You predict the outcome of an event and choose a team to win a race or a horse to win a horse race. This is as difficult as it gets!
Double Betting
The second type of bet we cover in this Beginner’s Sports Betting Guide is the Double bet. A Double bet is almost the same as a Single bet. With a Double bet you just choose two events, for which you have to predict the outcome. We take Ajax – Feyenoord and PSV – AZ Alkmaar as an example. With a Double bet you predict the outcome of both matches. The odds of both predictions are multiplied together, after which your bet determines what the potential profit is.
If you bet on Ajax and PSV winning these matches at odds of 2.00 and 1.95, these total odds are 3.90 (2.00 x 1.95). If you bet €10 on this, your possible new balance is €39.00. Here you subtract your bet from €10, after which your potential profit is €29.00. Please note that both matches must be correctly predicted. If Ajax wins and PSV draws or loses, the entire bet is lost. At that moment you have lost your €10 bet.
Double bets on numerous sports
Holland Casino Online offers Double bets in the Sportsbook. Besides football, you can also place this type of bet on sports such as basketball, tennis and handball. It's up to you to choose two events and predict your outcome. Because you bet on two different events, the odds increase. After all, you run a greater risk, as the entire bet is lost in the event of one incorrectly predicted outcome.
Treble Betting
Like a Double bet, a Treble bet is very similar to a Single bet. The big difference again lies in the number of events to be selected. It will not surprise you that with a Treble bet you choose three events, for which you predict the outcome. This can, for example, involve predicting matches of Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord against RKC Waalwijk, NEC Nijmegen and Sparta Rotterdam respectively. If you bet on a win for the traditional top 3, then Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord must actually win to win the bet.
Higher odds mean more risk
Since it concerns a bet on three different sporting events (competitions), it is important that you understand the sport. The risk of losing the bet increases considerably if all three outcomes must be correct. In the case of Ajax, PSV or Feyenoord matches, it is therefore a great advantage if you are well aware of the latest developments regarding the Dutch Eredivisie. In addition, the total odds become a lot bigger as you select more matches. Please note that higher odds mean more risk.
Accumulator Bets
An accumulator bet is more commonly known as an ACCA. We will therefore continue with that term from now on. Placing an ACCA bet involves betting on 4 or more different events. All 4 or more selections must be correct to win the bet. The odds often add up quickly as all the odds of the 4 or more selections are multiplied together. This ensures high potential winnings, while also increasing the risk of losing the ACCA bet. As soon as one of the four or more selections turns out wrong, the entire bet is lost and you lose your stake.
Everyone has heard the story of a bet with a large number of matches that were actually won. And indeed, there are stories where a sports betting player has won thousands of euros. Luck is involved here, as one wrong result already results in a lost bet.
The wonderful world of ACCA betting
It is striking that you rarely hear stories of players who have lost an ACCA. However, this is much, much more common. However, it is not obvious to share this with others. Picking one winning selection is already difficult. Let alone four or more. Below we continue in the wonderful world of the ACCAs!
Our guide to making accumulator bets will help you to take advantage of a potentially lucrative bet type.
As you have read, an ACCA consists of four or more selections. All of these selections must be successful for the bet to win. Nevertheless, an ACCA is very popular. The biggest reason for this is because you can make a lot of money with relatively little money. This has to do with the structure of the bet, as each win from one individual event carries over to the next. This snowball effect causes the total odds to rise to great heights. Even if you choose six selections, with each match being an obvious favourite.
The risk of placing an ACCA is mainly in the all-or-nothing part. The fact is that one lost selection 'ruins' the entire bet. Think of a very late equalizer in football or handball or a horse that is beaten by a head length during horse racing.
How to Place an Accumulator Bet
It is important to realize that an ACCA can consist of a selection of different sports. In addition, all selections do not have to take place on the same day. Of course it is attractive to place an ACCA on Saturday during a Premier League Matchday. However, you can also opt for a longer-term bet. Think of predicting the competition winner of the Spanish La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Serie A.
Whichever way you go about it, it's easy to figure out what your potential profit is going to be. All you have to do is add your selections to the bet slip and the total odds will be calculated automatically. If you choose four selections with odds of 2.42, 1.43, 3.25 and 3.00 respectively, this leads to total odds of 33.74. In the case of a €10 bet, you win €337.40 (balance) – €10 (bet) = €327.40.
How do you calculate your potential profit with an ACCA?
You may be wondering how your potential profit is calculated. So imagine yourself back in school and take part in our short math lesson. You choose 4 or more events, with the odds all multiplied together. We take the following competitions as an example:
Manchester United – West Ham United Manchester United Wins 1.90
Bayern München – Schalke 04 Bayern München Wins 1.30
FC Barcelona – Villarreal FC Barcelona Wins 1.50
New York Knicks – Boston Celtics Boston Celtics Wins 2.00
Above you see 4 matches with your prediction and associated odds behind them. To calculate your potential winnings, multiply all 4 odds together. In this case this is 1.90 x 1.30 x 1.50 x 2.00 = 7.41. You multiply this last number (7.41) with your stake, after which your potential profit is known. In the case of a €10 bet, this means that you won €74.10 – €10 (bet) = €64.10.
Determining your bet
Before you bet, it is important to ask yourself how much money you are going to bet. First of all, as far as Holland Casino Online is concerned, this must be about money that you can afford to lose. In addition, it is smart to realize that very high odds contain more risks. In that respect, it is smarter to bet on 5 matches with odds of 1.30 than on 4 matches with odds of 2.60. It is therefore always important to be aware of the possible risks. Games are played with real money.
Each-way Betting
An Each Way bet can best be seen as a two-part bet. Here, part of the bet goes to the actual winner, while the second part of the bet predicts where your team will finish. This type of bet costs twice as much as a traditional bet and gives an even return. An Each Way bet consists of two different bets:
- A winning bet
- A place bet
Half of your total bet goes to the win bet, while the other half goes to the place bet. It is important to realize that you are betting a total of €20 if you choose a €10 Each Way bet on a football match. When choosing an Each Way bet, your stake will be doubled. A profit bet means that your selection must actually win. The place bet must ensure that your selection ends in a certain 'top'. Think of a horse finishing in the top-3 or top-4.
We give you an example using horse racing. You place a €5 each way bet, which means that your total bet is €10. This bet places you on a horse winning at odds of 5.00. In addition, you will receive odds of 1.25 as soon as this horse finishes in the top 3. If your horse ends up in the top 3, you win €7.25. If this horse wins the race, you will receive another €25. In this case, the new playing balance is €32.25. This means that your profit is €32.25 - €10 (bet) = €22.25.
Why Each-way bets are so popular
Are you starting to enjoy placing Each Way bets, but don't feel completely familiar yet? Then know that an Each Way bet is the average player's best friend. Especially when it comes to an event with a large field of participants. Players know that they will be paid something anyway if a participant finishes in a certain position.
What are my Each-Way Betting Options?
The terms of an Each Way bet depend on the number of teams or players taking part in an event. Normally betting on one place is about odds of a fourth or fifth of the winning odds.
If there are between two and four participants, a bettor can only bet on the winnings. If there are between five and seven or sixteen or more participants, the place bet odds are 1/4. When it comes to eight to fifteen participants, the odds go to 1/5. The only exception to this is when there is a Handicap in places twelve to fifteen. In that case, it is settled at 1/4 of the winning odds of the first three places.
We give you another example. Imagine there are eight participants in a horse race. Here you place a €10 Each-way bet on a horse at odds of 11.00. The odds for the place bet are 1/5. If this horse actually wins, you will receive €140 for your €20 bet. The profit for your predicted winner is €110 (10 x your bet + €10 bet). The profit from the place bet is €30 (1/5 of the winning odds). You would also have received this €30 if the horse had finished second or third.
Placing an Each-way bet ensures that you are somewhat hedged. Therefore, this type of bet is often a good strategy to use when supporting outsiders or when certain odds are very high.
What are the Popular Each-Way Sports Bets?
Bettors often choose to place Each Way bets on golf tournaments. This is due to the large field of participants, which makes betting on places interesting. It is of course difficult to predict the exact final winner. However, using the Each-way option you can also predict that your favourite will finish in the top-5. Each way bets on snooker, tennis and darts differ slightly. Here, the place portion of the bet is settled at 1/2 the odds. For this, your selection must make it to the final to win the bet for the place.
These types of bets can also apply to the Outright market in football. An example of this is predicting the winner of the English Premier League. You receive 1/3 of the winning odds if you predict a team to finish first or second. The bets on places vary slightly and also depend on the size of the competition.
Patent Bets
A Patent bet, like a Treble bet, consists of three selections. However, a Patent (system) bet involves seven individual bets, including three Single bets. A Patent bet consists of:
- 3 Single bets
- 3 Double bets
- 1 Treble bet
A Patent bet provides even more certainty than other types of bets. This is because a Patent bet consists of several bets. It is possible that a certain part of the bet is not won, while another part of the bet is won. This means that you win even if two of the bets are not losing.
Outright Betting
Most people think that it is quite easy to predict the winner of the Eredivisie, the English Premier League or the winner of the US Open. Even if these competitions have not started at all. But what are the advantages and disadvantages of predicting the outcomes of the world's biggest sporting events in advance?
We take a look at Outright betting in our Sports Betting Starter Guide and show you how to take advantage of this popular type of betting.
One of the biggest Outright bets ever
Everyone knows that predicting the champion of a domestic or foreign football league is difficult. It often happens that the champion is particularly surprising. Take Leicester City in the 2015-2016 season as an example. No one expected The Foxes to become champions of England. Except for a few lucky ones. At odds of 5000.00 there were more than enough bettors who won as much as €50,000 with a bet of €10. So you can see how crazy things can go!
Outright betting on sports other than football
In addition to football, Outright betting is also very popular in golf. Bettors can bet on the outcomes of the smallest and largest golf tournaments in the world. The field of participants in golf is considerable, which means that the odds are often quite high. The same applies to tennis, by the way. Here you can bet on Single and Double tournaments in the ATP Tour, WTA Tour and of course the four Grand Slams. Of course there are also plenty of opportunities to bet on very small tournaments.
Thinking Long Term
As you know by now, placing Outright bets is not just about predicting which player or team will win a tournament. It can also involve completely different markets. We take the Dutch Eredivisie as an example. Here you have the option to bet on the top scorer of the season or the player who wins the Golden Boot. In addition to predicting the champion or top scorer, you also have the option to predict which team will be relegated or in which region of the league a team will finish.
There were also more than enough options for placing Outright bets during the last Cricket World Cup. Besides predicting the eventual winner of the World Cup, there was also the possibility to bet on the player with the most runs. Finally, each bettor had the option of betting on the bowler who took the most wickets.
Handicap Betting
We all want to bet on Ajax, PSV or Feyenoord against a very low-ranked opponent. However, it often turns out that the odds for this win are around 1.10 or 1.20. The chances of these teams winning are very high. These odds are not very attractive, are they? That is why this is the time to use a Handicap bet. By starting matches with a virtual standings where a team literally has a Handicap, you will see that the odds do matter.
You can learn how to place Handicap bets in our Beginners Guide to Sports Betting
Handicap betting
What are Handicap Bets?
When placing a Handicap bet you give one of the two participants in a match an advantage or disadvantage. If it turns out that the score of the disabled person is still greater than that of the opponent, the bet is won. For example, you can let a player/team start with a 1-0 deficit or lead. Do you have a lot of confidence in a team? Then this could also be a 2-0 or 3-0 deficit.
A Handicap bet is used to even out the odds between two teams or players. Sometimes there is a team or player that is the big favourite. With a Handicap, the advantage of this favourite is slightly taken away by giving the opponent a virtual lead. In case of a home game of Feyenoord against a very low ranked team, you will see that the odds for winning with a Handicap become very attractive for Feyenoord. However, Feyenoord must make up for this virtual deficit. In case of a -1 Handicap for Feyenoord, Feyenoord must win with 2 goals difference.
Long term Handicap bets
Placing a Handicap can also be done at an event that lasts an entire season. Think of a basketball or football competition. The big favourite for the win starts on the so-called '0'. Each other team in this competition is then assigned a Handicap based on the probability of that team winning the competition. Naturally, the team that has the least chance of winning the league gets the highest odds.
At the end of the season you find out if the bet is winning. At that moment all points are settled with the Handicap and you see which team has collected the most points in the end. This can also be combined with an Each-way bet, where you bet on the final position of a team or player.
Handicap Betting on Individual Games
Handicap betting is a very popular betting market in football. It is very easy to give either team an advantage or disadvantage prior to a match. The same goes for many American sports, as most matches are between two teams. Think of the NFL, the National Football League.
In addition to Handicaps, Asian Handicaps are very popular in football matches. This works in principle the same as a normal Handicap, except that a tie is excluded. This is done by giving the team a Handicap of .5. In case of a tie, this .5 ensures that there will be a winner anyway.
Higher odds with Handicaps
The advantage of placing a Handicap bet is that they can provide a way to get more value out of an event where the normal 1X2 bets don't pay much. Handicap betting on competitions also has the advantage that the team that exceeds expectations the most wins, rather than just the regular winner of the competition.
The bookmaker decides
Handicap betting requires a selection (team) to overcome an advantage or disadvantage. In this case, if your selection is one goal or point short, the entire bet will be lost. This can of course lead to great frustrations. Another disadvantage for Handicaps bettors is that the bookmaker determines the Handicap lines and thus decides which advantage or disadvantage the participants are in.
Forecast Betting
Predicting the winner of a golf tournament in advance is difficult enough. But what if you predict the numbers two and three? In this part of our guide, we explain what a Forecast bet is exactly.
Forecast & Tricast Bets
In our Beginner’s Sports Betting Guide, we explain in great detail how Forecast and Tricast betting works.
Forecast betting is an important element in the wonderful world of sports betting. The advantage is that this form of betting adds more value for the bettor. When placing a Forecast bet, the aim is for a bettor to predict who will finish first and second in any given sporting event. These bets can be placed either before or during the tournament or season and are settled at a participant starting price.
Straight-, reverse and combination Forecasts
There are three types of Forecasts: straight, reverse and combination. In a straight Forecast, the selections must finish in the exact order specified by the punter. In a reverse Forecast, the numbers one and two may finish in any order to be a winner. The stake is doubled in a reverse Forecast as both outcomes are being bet on.
A combination Forecast consists of a number of selections that often vary between three and six selections. The selections must end up on number one and two in random order. The extent to which the effort increases with a combination Forecast depends on the number of selected participants.
Tricast Betting
A Tricast bet is very similar to a Forecast bet. However, with a Tricast bet you do not have to correctly predict two, but three places. You also have the option of placing straight and combination bets with Tricast bets. However, a reverse tricast is not possible, because three selections are used.
Unlike an ACCA, all selections chosen must apply to the same event. However, it is possible to combine two separate forecasts of different events into a double Forecast. This kind of betting is often done in football. For example, you can predict which teams will finish first, second and third in the Premier League.
In addition to football, Tricast betting is very popular in horse racing and greyhound competitions. Because there are not too many participants, it is easier to choose who finishes first, second and third. A Tricast ensures that the value of the odds goes up. Especially when we compare this with the regular odds for a horse or team that is likely to finish first.
Pros and cons forecasts & tricasts
Placing Forecasts and Tricasts naturally entails advantages and disadvantages. Let's start with the positive. If the higher-priced contestant finishes first and the lower-priced contestant finishes second, the payout can be much larger. This is why many bettors choose to place Forecast bets. You can win a lot with a relatively small bet.
The disadvantage of this type of bet is that the luck factor also comes into play. Your chosen selections must actually finish in the top 2 or top 3 to win the bet. Should one of your selected teams or players fall outside this ranking, the bet is lost. For example, it may just be that Feyenoord suddenly has a very mediocre season and finishes 6th.
Another disadvantage for bettors is that they prefer to opt for a bet where the result is known somewhat quickly. If a Forecast or Tricast bet is placed prior to a competition, you will only know the result at the end of the season. In a sport like horse racing, on the other hand, you know the end result quickly. In addition, a Forecast or Tricast gives you much more than an Each-way bet. However, all predicted teams or players must finish within the top-2 or top-3.
Yankee Bets
A Yankee bet is named after an old American soldier. This soldier won a great prize on a bet involving any number of selections. But how do you get eleven different bets out of a bet of four selections? We explain it in detail below.
Yankee Bets
In this Beginner’s Sports Betting Guide, we explain how a Yankee bet works.
A Yankee bet is a four selection multiple bet consisting of 11 separate bets:
- 6 Double bets
- 4 Treble bets
- 1 ACCA
The original name of the Yankee bet comes from World War II. About this time, an American soldier stationed in England won a very complicated bet. Whether this soldier likes it or not, his name will always stick to this type of bet.
High potential winnings with Yankee betting
The biggest advantage of a Yankee bet is that you only need to win two of the four selections to make money. How much this is exactly depends on the odds. It is therefore very important that you know in advance what your potential profits are. We give you an example. Suppose you make four selections on horses at odds of 13.00, of which two selections ultimately turn out to be winning. This means that these winning two selections will still win you money.
If you place a €1 Yankee bet, that means you're betting a total of €11. A winning Double bet here will earn you €169, which means you can win €158. If three of the four selections are won in the 13.00 odds example, you would make €2692 of the €11 bet. If you get all four selections right, you will walk away with €38,352.
Yankee Bets on Football Matches
A Yankee bet is very useful for bettors who would like to bet on four football matches with low odds. If all these teams manage to win the match, this will ensure a nice payout. However, there is also a kind of safety net that an ACCA bet does not provide. If one of the four matches of your chosen selections loses, you will still win the Treble bet and the three Double bets. With this you still have a chance of a small profit.
A disadvantage of a Yankee bet is that your bet is placed on every bet. In this case it is therefore 11 x your bet. It is therefore understandable that bettors opt for a little more flexibility. You can then choose to create your own multiple bet on four selections. As a result, you bet more on the Double and Treble bets, instead of the risky ACCAs.
A €10 Yankee bet on four odds of 1.83 will result in a total bet of €110. If all four selections win, you will receive €451.12. If three selections are correct, this will be reduced to €52.45. Are only two selections correct? Then you ultimately lose € 76.39. To be clear, €110 on an ACCA bet gives you a potential profit of €1123.66. Remember, a losing selection loses the entire bet.
How does Each-Way Yankee Betting work?
The goal of a Yankee bet is to choose four winning selections. However, the format of this bet provides 'consolation prizes'. We give you an example using a horse race. An Each Way Yankee bet is an excellent option here. This showed the earlier example of the $1 Yankee bet against four 13.00 selections.
A €1 Each Way Yankee bet consists of a total of 22 different bets. This means that you bet a total of €22. If none of the chosen horses win their races even though all four are placed correctly, the result is €586 (under the terms of an Each Way bet at 1/4 the odds). It is important to consider beforehand whether placing a Yankee bet is the most sensible option. If yes, then this is a very suitable betting market for you. The more selections you correctly predict, the greater the reward.
Lucky 15
The staple pre-season bet of thousands of football punters wanting to have an accumulator on football divisions, knowing they’ll strike it rich if all four win. It’s been a favourite bet of punters for years. Here we explain when and where the Lucky 15 might be the best option for you.
A Lucky 15 is a multiple bet and a way to combine four selections. The stakes look like this:
- 4 Single bets
- 6 Double bets
- 4 Treble bets
- 1 ACCA
To make money, at least one selection must win. Bookmakers offer bonuses in this, with which you can receive two to three times the odds. A Lucky 15 of €1 means a bet of €15. A Lucky 15 bet can easily be combined with an Each-way bet. This type of bet is placed in the same way, except that the stake goes up to €30. This means there are 30 different selections within one big bet.
Lucky 15 Bets
Difference Between Lucky 15 & Other Multiple Bets
A Yankee bet is very similar to a Lucky 15. The only major difference is that with a Lucky 15 you also have to deal with Single bets. In addition to a Lucky 15, you can also choose a Lucky 31 or Lucky 63 bet. These consist of 31 and 63 bets respectively. However, these require five or six selections. For that reason, the four selections of a Lucky 15 are more attractive.
What is a Lucky 15?
A lucky 15 is a multiple bet and a way to combine a quartet of selections. The wager is broken down as follows: four singles, six doubles, four trebles and one four-fold accumulator. In order to gain a return, punters need just one selection to oblige. Bookmakers will offer bonuses including double or treble the odds for just a single winner. A €1 lucky 15 would mean a total stake of €15.
Each-way Lucky 15s are also popular, especially big odds football selections. This is a way to combine four of your favourite matches on the day’s action. An each-way Lucky 15 is placed the same way as a win wager, with the only difference being the number of bets increases to 30.
Difference Between Lucky 15 & Other Multiple Bets
A Yankee bet is similar to a Lucky 15. As you now know, both of them combine four selections into doubles, trebles and a four-fold. The big difference between a Lucky 15, Yankee and other multiple wagers, is that it includes singles. There are also wagers such as Lucky 31 and Lucky 63 which involve 31 and 63 bets, but they require five or six selections and a four-pick punt is more attainable.
Advantages & Disadvantages of Lucky 15 Bets
One of the main benefits of betting Lucky 15s is that they give a return if only a single selection wins. It should be clear that this must be a considerable commitment. Another advantage is that not all selections have to be winning to win money. If two or three selections are good, you can still make a nice profit.
Of course there are also a number of disadvantages. A Lucky 15 divides your odds over a number of bets, which can reduce returns. If you place a Lucky 15 of €1, this means that you bet €15. If all four selections are winning, the winnings you receive will be much lower than with an ACCA bet.
The portion of the Single bet must also be taken into account. If the four selections have odds of 21.00, 26.00, 34.00 or 51.00, a single win immediately yields a nice return. However, if the odds are particularly low, then it is almost a waste of the bet. The returns in this case are particularly low. It is therefore up to the bettor to determine whether it is worth using the Single part of the bet.
