Tournament Rules

  • They shall have no cash value.
  • Tournaments shall be held at the Utrecht venue from Saturday 12/01/2008 to 20/01/2008 inclusive.
  • Your game shall run until you have used up all your chips or are declared the winner of the tournament.
  • Antes and blind bets for players absent from the table at the start of a game shall be placed by dealers.
  • Making off with tournament chips may result in disqualification.
  • From 1 november 2007 up to the day of the tournament you will be able to enter for the tournament. You can do so online via hollandcasino.nl or at the cashier's office at all venues.
  • A maximum of 100, 150 or 200 players may take part. The tournament management shall reserve the right to vary the maximum number of participants.
  • Entry tickets shall be strictly personal and non-transferable.
  • Tournament entry tickets shall be valid only if they display the unique HC code.
  • Each participant shall play for him/herself and may not arrange for a replacement.
  • Once the signal has sounded for the end of betting, the new limits for the next round of play shall apply. The next round shall commence once the dealer starts to shuffle.
  • Each player shall be entitled to a hand even if his/her remaining chips are not enough to cover the ante or minimum bet.
  • If a player going all-in discovers after losing the pot that he/she still has chips remaining, these chips shall be forfeit to the winner of the pot.
  • If one or more players go all-in and no further bets can be placed, all players still in the game shall lay their cards face up on the table.
  • All tournament chips placed on the table shall be clearly visible.
  • The show one, show all rule shall apply.
  • Chips no longer wagerable under the betting limits shall be exchanged for a higher value. A chip race shall be staged for unexchangeable chips.
  • Table balancing shall ensure that players occupy exactly the same position in relation to the dealer button which they occupied on the other table(s). Players shall leave the table and shall sit at the next table as directed by the tournament management.
  • If no winner is declared by 03.00, the tournament shall continue the next day at 13.00 with the players still in the game.
  • In the event of argument, the tournament management’s decision shall be final.
  • Holland Casino poker rules shall apply and may be consulted in the poker pit and at  reception.
  • Holland Casino house rules shall apply in addition to the tournament rules.
  • The decision of the tournament management shall be binding and final in all situations not covered by these rules.

Texas Hold’em No Limit

  • The game shall involve the use of a dealer button which is moved, with the clock, to the next player after each round of play.
  • With each tournament, blind bets shall be placed by the first two players seated to the left of the button, with small blinds placed by the player closer to the button and big blinds by the other player.
  • Once two players are left, the player in the button position shall place the small blind.
  • No player may miss the small or big blind. This may cause the dealer button to remain in the same position for more than one round of play.
  • In no-limit tournaments there shall no limit on the number of bets raised.
  • In the event of a split pot, the player to the left of the button shall receive the odd chip.
  • If 2 or more players go out of the tournament at the same time, the player who went all-in  with the highest chip value shall finish in top spot in the final ranking, including for the prize money award.
  • The final round shall begin once 9 players are in. Places at the tables shall be determined by lot. The dealer button shall start to the right of the dealer.

Rebuys/Add-on

  • Rebuys may be made only during the period stated in the betting scheme.
  • Add-ons may be made only at the scheduled time - immediately following expiry of the rebuy period - and shall require you to still hold tournament chips.
  • In the case of tournaments with unlimited rebuys the player may make a rebuy during the period stated in the betting scheme only if he/she has lost all his/her chips in the previous round.
  • Betting schemes shall be available on the tournament day in question and shall be handed out to the participants on request.
  • The tournament management shall reserve the right to adjust the betting scheme at any time.

Prize money

  • All stakes shall be paid out as prize money.
